Lupo is nice but only worth buying if its the GTi (grp11 insurance). The 147 will cost a fair whack more than 10k brand new. What about a new shape Fiesta. My neighbour has one. She has had a full factory fitted kit and 17s fitted, all supplied by Ford, looks stunning! Or even an MG ZR. Build quality isn't up to much and they're essentially an old car, but they look pretty good off the shelf.

When did lupo's and VTR's start looking good as standard? I would say something like a 206 XSi a year or 2 old.

one little tip, buy second hand, nearly new. Depretiation value on new cars is stupid, my corsa C lost 3 grand in the first year so id buy something with a very low mileage and save yourself some money. For that price you would then have a much higher range of cars to look at. Happy shopping!!

yeah I totally agree. Unless you intend to keep the car its not worth it unless its something like a mini (which have been selling second hand above list price due to waiting lists etc) My corsa lost 2k in a month!!!

yeah, i owned my corsa c for 8 months and when i sold it i got 6 grand, the bloke said to me that if it wasnt for the fact the car was so much more appealing with the 17's and lowered suspension, id have only got 5400, fucking ridiculous, plus if you take the depretiation into account, it opens up a whole new level of cars to shop for with that 10 grand and most of them will still have warranty left too

cheers for the comments. i can only 10k if its a new car as i can go on finance, but if its going to be second hand i will probably have about 5k.
wot do u think of a Yaris VVti 1.5 16v, i saw a black on of these on autotrader tinted out wiv 17s. it looked sort of mint, would you recommend one. cos it shud have a bit of speed aswell!
