it sounds silly when u put it like that john....
but people usually do travel hundreds of miles for cars that theyve never seen in the flesh but pictures of, and buy them when they get there. thats how it usually works?
ive taken the thread off because someone has been in touch, ive passed on the details . If they like what they see when they get there, the sale will be honoured and everyones happy!

Yes, usually about £2k+ not a £300 Micra.
Good you're trying to do the right thing, but just phone the guy up and say you don't want it any longer, and sorry for wasting his time. I'd much rather that if I was the seller than a no show.
