A few of you would know i recently won this white Gsi off Ebay. I wernt really looking to buy another car but i seen this and couldnt help myself , ive always loved genuine Gsi's and being white and low mileage it had to be mine.

Its done 56k miles from new, 2 previous owners. The owner who had it before the lad i bought it off had it from brand new up until oct 2011 and only covered 32k in that time.

The lad i bought it off done the rest of the milage to date, he also (to my disgust) fitted the nasty Dtm mirrors and double bean can rear box, these will both be coming off.

Any way i picked it up on sat and drove it the 130mile back home. Its running a bit lumpy at low revs but apart from that it drove really well, pulled much better then i was expecting it to aswell.

I cleaned it up on sunday and gave it a quick polish (didnt get much time) also fitted some new plugs to find the cam cover gasket needs replacing but thats no problem.

Heres the first pics, as i bought it just a quick polish

Engine bay needs a good clean down, plastic cover removed by me to change plugs

And the interior is really clean, no rips to seats, original mats etc as should be expected for 56k miles

Thats all for now, more progress on making this sweet soon

Looks very nice, and the bad bits are only minor.
Can't believe state of the exhaust manifold, I know they;re prone to rust, but with his mileage thats mad.

What are the plans for it (other than removing mirrors and exhaust)? Just making it standard or are you going to molester it?

i remember seeing this on ebay and seeing a thread about it in gen chat...

looks like a good one to watch and cant be many of these left with that sort of milage.
whoever put them mirrors and exhaust on needs their face spat on

if your planning on fitting a inlet box to it i think you'll need the lower inlet off a X16xe and i have one im close to throwing out so gizza holla

Right then, nice progree this weekend

Firstly found a set of standard mirrors in white on ebay, thankyou very much

Picked up a new rocker cover gasket (as it needs replacing) and filter ready for an oil change

Ordered a few bits off ebay to add the touches that i wanted to

Them hideous exhausts were removed

My old Gaz coilies off my track car were cleaned up re copper greased and fitted, pic of rears only. Fitted the fronts using my ally top mounts too

All the bits fitted, ride hide adjusted and heres how it sits now. Oh fitted my TH2's with prada spec 2's on as i couldnt help myself

Heres a couple more pics just in the dark

Really happy with it so far, more to come
