try the amstel botel, 5 mins walk from Centraal Station

http://www.amstelbotel.nl/en

its a really dull city tbh, youve got the red light district, anne frank museum, amsterdam arena, rive/canal tour and thats about it iirc

pefect for a stag do though... hookers and legal drugs - game on

you will be able to find places in the dead centre so dont worry. worst comes to worst, just take a hostel. in any case, the trams and metro are fantastic (altho trams can be confusing to work out)

Yeah definitly, last times I've been were October and December, was freezing lol

Anytime I go I from now on I've vowed to stay in the Bulldog, just love the bar etc there. They have dorms, private rooms and apartments, quality spot. Should be heading out there in March again.

As soon as you get off the train at the station the red light district is basically straight on, bout 10 minute walk maybe.

Its quite a big area too, I would rarely leave it when I'm there, its a selection of bars, coffee shops and windows.
