Right I've heard about and seen these about, how much difference do they really make and how easy are they to fit?

not a great deal off difference until you go past 4k revs then you really do feel it... iv not long ago fitted mine and a i really can feel the difference high revs... hardest part of fitting it (imo) was getting that cnut of a pipe out the back... its the black plastic one that goes from air box to throttle body
well worth getting for any 14xe/16xe

Depends what other mods you have, I fitted one to my 1.4 and noticed a slight difference at high revs, I found it easier to fit my taking the inlet off as I couldn't take the old throttle body off while it was on the car, but I'm sure someone on here will tell you a easier way.

throttle body was fairly easy imo mate

theres a bracket that hold it to where that ^ silver plate is

you need to split the loom a bit get get them two connectors over the other side.
drill the threads out of the throttle body

and the pipe im on about looks a lot like this but this is half destroyed

and

fitted

Yep.

Better if you get a proper mantzel like I had.

So easy to fit and made a huge difference.

Now time to find one cheapish and fit it I've got 4-2-1 manifold, decat, and de silenced with 2.5" exit, a proper k&n, 10mm HT leads and iridium plugs, think its about 110-115 now as I keep up to 106gti's and saxo vts's... so hopefully with one of these itl be even sweeter

I had an x14xe with power box, air filter and backbox and got it rolling roaded at 103bhp. Well worth getting, it will work well with your other mods.
