taken out the speedo clocks in a corsa b 1999 any ideas which colour wire from the plug for the clocks is for the dash/interior illumination lights, need the wire which switches on the dials when the headlamps are switched on not the permanent live which switches the lights on when the ignition is switched on

Don't know on the clocks but the same switched feed should be available in the radio loom, have a look at this -

Its the 'ILL' pin on the lower block.

Might be able to trace it back or just take the feed from there.

ill go and check which stereo i have i think its cdr500, the illumination wire is it the one which switches on when the headlamps are switched on
