I had the black, not bad out the box but the shocks/spings are a little soft, pullstarts on them are weak so id suggest buying a rota start or a starter box, i fitted a .32 engine in mine with a 19t clutch bell, was a bit quick!

Ah right ok. Will be interesting to see how it fairs up against the car i already have, which is a Thunder Tiget MTA4. Its interesting to hear you say that the pull start is no good. Most of the reviews say that the car is rock solid, although, i guess thay can't speak for each and every component.

the cars themselves are really good. my first car was a thunder tiger and that was piss easy to start.
saying this thou, they might have revised the pull start on the new cars

I have a Traxxas T-maxx 2.5. Spent a fortune on a roll cage and a brand new 4.2( think that was the size) engine for it a few years ago and there still in the box, havnt even started it or bolted it in!

Must get round to doing it!

Ah right ok, fair enough. I think my car will arrive tomorrow, but i wont be able to give it a run until the weekend.

What do you recommend for the engine break in?

1/4 throttle for the first two tanks?
1/2 throttle for the next two
and then blipping full throttle and then down again for two after that?

People's engine break in methods differ greatly.

I got the car today

One thing to ask is about the Servos.

I've owned one of these cars before, but, when i put the batteries in it, and turned everything on (not a drop of fuel had gone in it at this point), one of the servos burnt its self out! The car went back, and i was given a full refund.

Anyway, i've turned my new car on, and the remote of course, and its making a buzzing noise. Is this normal?
