Had this guy whos fridge freezer has been making excessive noise... phoned him up the other day for a better description of the fault so we could get some parts prepped for an engineer to go out with.

Today I received a pretty amusing letter from him .... and this hand drawn picture detailing the fault

Going out of my way to help this guy now - much more effective way to get good service than shouting down a phone

Been out a few times now for this fault since october.... its an intermittent fault and it never does it when we are there - tried a couple of things but its still happening so phoned him to see exactly where the noises were coming from to get some parts prepped by our technical manager ... got this in the post today

Think we a re gonna try once more and fix it then look to replace it if we cant - its not exactly a cheep piece of equipment to exchange for what could be a basic fault though

Just him generally being spot on and finding the whole thing rather amusing ...the appliance works fine, it just makes noise that it shouldnt be

He doesnt really want a new fridge/freezer thats the problem... when they are delivered they have to be left standing for 12 hours before you turn them on, then they take 12 hours with nothing in them to get down to temperature.... he has it stacked full of food so it would be a real hassle to deal with ... he is happy for repair if we can identify where the hell its coming from - which isnt easy when it doesnt do it all the time

It would be cheaper to replace it and compensate him for all his food than doing that.

We will get it fixed for him im sure - only a certain number of parts could be responsible for the fault - we are just gonna get all of them ordered then send an engineer out for 5 or 6 hours to change them all one by one and properly test it

Also had a chat to bobby zamorra today about his washing machine, and had dirk kuyt on the phone a couple of months back about his coffee machine. We do all of the London premiership clubs training ground and stadium appliances now... And this week we had to go and repair the hob In Jamie olivers house that he uses on tv lol it's quite funny chatting to celebrities about pretty mundane things. Suprising how many of them deal with it themselves rather than getting a PA on it
