Just a theoretical question.
If I get a go-kart and put an electric motor could I still be done for driving with no insurance/tax/MOT etc?

Sorry Yeah I meant driving on road.
What about these scooters old people use? They have motors and batteries but no tax insurance MOT?

Why not? You are actually not supposed to drive them on pavements? That's what I thought anyway.

so you think you can just drive around a small go kart on public roads? are you actually stupid?
what about other drivers and safety? will you have indicators and a number plate fitted?

I am not stupid. That seems to be the law/regulations. And I was saying in theory, not that I would.

With regards to numberplate, it would not need one.

i genuinely cant believe you think its legal and perfectly acceptable? can you not see why it would be stupid to allow people to drive a go cart on say a 60mph dual carriageway?
the fact is you cannot ride a normal bog standard go kart on a main road.
there is a road legal one IIRC which you can buy

also when you go to turn a corner, will you just put your arm out?
also interested how your horn on your go kart will work?
just wondering what will happen when i join a dual carriage way at 60 and your go kart is trailing along at 30mph?

As long as it is up to 60kg (for a trike, excluding batteries) and power no more than 250w seems to be legal.
