Right I've got a corsa redtop I'm needing some new discs and pads when I did the conversion I tool everything off a 1.6 astra that had the conversion done I.e breaks so I'm mot sure if the breaks I put on my corsa are off the astra or if there were replaced with the proper breaks for Tue engine is there anyway of yelling what barks I have without taking discs and pads to a shop and comparing as if I do this and the shop have to order them in I am stuck without a car for a couple of days

1.6 brakes are 265 x 20 and i think 2.0 ones are 256 x 24 iirc

4mm wider, cant actually see 2.0l being any better tbh

I though 1.6 brakes were 256 x 16 and 2.0 were 256 x 20?

well in that case i have 2.0l ones on my 1600 sport....
the lad who sold me the car said they were 'GSI' calipers but didn't sound sure about it and knew very little about the car

Calipers are alot bigger though for the 2.0 brakes against the 1.6.

They are noticeably better.

so is there any difference in corsa gsi callipers and 1.6 sport?

Right so basically I just measure accross the disc top to bottom and the width along the top and ill know what I have

Just been out and measured across the top of disc =24mm so I'm taking it there 2.0 XE and did all the 4 stud astras, calibras etc use the same calliper for this engine so all pads are the same

24mm means 2.0l yes, dunno about what they came on for sure

Yes they are so long as they came with the 2ltr XE engine.
