What is used to stop rain going into the engine bay through the vent? Surely a hole that big is a problem? Or does it not go over anything that matters?

Probably between £300-£500 for a blow-over respray.

car looks good mate i aint gonna nock it but im affraid of these types of vents cause all someone has do do when you get a grill on an all that is punch through the grill or cut it and disable youre battery and proberly the alarm and the car is gone as that vent is directly over the battery-might wanna consider moving the battery?? either way i dont like it cause you can get youre whole arm under that vent-

i did consider that, thats why it was another reason for a metal sheet under it. it is the vx220 but it isnt from vauxhall, it was from D&M and u can see it in fast car from last month i think in the new product section. it cost me about 75 inc p&p to scotland.

yea, might have to relocate the bat, but where?? or come up with some kind of battery cover which u would be able to open with the bonnet closed and the vent without mesh

Love seeing bodyshop pics like that - all smooth etc in filler.......However!!!!!.....

Bad idea gettin ur bumpers blended mate. Real bad. Despite how good a driver you mite be, one touch from another car or into a krub while parking, and ur lookin at a major head aches. That filler will crack immediately, leaving you to fork out for a frontal respray or rear 1/4 spray. I suppose this could be remedied by have solid metal inserts put inside each bumper to give extra strength, but even so, its not gonna give total protection. Oh and i know too well that being lowered 50mm on 17"s aint good for speed bumps. Repeated scraping on speed bumps etc will again cause ya major porbs, coz not only can the front bumper not bein sprayed indivdually, but the massive vibration caused is likely to weaken that filler

Its the same idea with the mirrors, with repeated slamming of the doors!!

Not dissing the car, work thats been deen or ur choice in parts etc, but its just not gonna be practical As a show car to be takin out on weekends only, maybe, as a car u use every day, nah!

Matt

(gonna look beautiful when done boss!!)

that vent is sweet mate like it a lot. if you get some plates welded underneigh to stop the water then nobody could get to the battery
that exhaust is looking good too
