Was out in my mates 206 last night and he's just bought a new turbo for it (around two days ago)
and all of a sudden this new turbos seized already.
we've come down to the point that its the bearings as the fins wont even move.
Anyone got any idea how this could happen and if its easy to sort or if its going to be a new turbo etc
its a 1.4HDI
And please no silly comments like it being french. We gathered that the day he bought it

Either an early life failure turbo or whatever caused the first turbo to fail is still there.
Did he just stick a new turbo on without checking what caused it to fail?

he did everything you do when you bolt on a new turbo and he blew the old on from turining it up and it was boosting a 1.7bar for 5 miles which then shattered the fins on the intake side i think it was.
