The attention to detail is just mind boggling! I hope this isn't a repost.

Good model but what kind of skills are transferable to f1? It's not like he's used and techniques or equipment they do with the real thing. If he deserves a job for building a model Steve should be working at BAE.

I don't mean to be completely negative, it's a VERY impressive project

Think its more the attention to detail, with him being at uni studying something related, he will have some skills.

Its not actually a proper job he has, its an industrial placement. Normally you take a year out between your course of study to gain experience. However, to be approached directly like he has done is outstanding. A placement is a foot in the door though, luck bugger!

Won't take long, your house of cards and their methods of construction are likely the same.

What kind of placement are you trying for? If its motorsport then I have a couple you can try in the South Wales area?

If I had the skills I would be doing the same, if an F1 team approaches you for a placement/job you are doing something right.

i kinda think something like this.

all he has done is get photos of f1 cars, not bothered to put them into a CAD package and done all this drawing and working out, which he has done the long way, then just cut bits of paper up and stuck them together.

i'm sure plenty of us here could do it, but who could be bothered messing about with paper. Would he be doing it if the internet wasn't here?

But the internet is here, he has done and for his troubles, received a direct offer of work placement from this years F1 champs......doesnt sound a bad start at a life at 22 years old
