Has anyone used this, a fried of mine has a rover 25, its losing coolant and has alot of pressure in the coolant tank, there is no mayo atall or oil loss atall, im wondering if this k-seal actually works ?
The temperature goes upto half then 3 quaters then back down when the fan kicks in, i've bled the system numerous times and still no luck
I know its the early symptoms of hg failure.

Wouldnt touch it.
It has bits of copper in it, I used it once to seal the rad on my saxo till the new one arrived,
I had to renew the thermostat and flush the engine afterwards, fuck knows what sorta mess the head was in.

why spend £300 if a £15 bottle of liquid might work
never used the stuff myself so dont know anything about it, everyone all over the rover forums say its a good product and to use it if early signs of hg failure are appearing

Ive heard that "steel seal" stuff is meant to be good.
When i was looking at a few MGZR's as a cheap runner, alot of folk on the forums had used the above stuff with good results, and still going strong 10k miles later.

Used it a few times on Puntos etc and it did the job fine.
Used it yesterday on a little Fiat Sceicento, didn't work so i took the head off and the gasket was terrible, so i wasn't suprised at all.
Definitely worth a go.

Used it on the gf's tigra 2.5 weeks ago as that was using coolant and suspected HG failure.
Touch wood its fine.
Felt awfully guilty pouring what looks like copper slip into the header tank. But its done the trick!
*btw its being run into the ground so didnt really care what 'other' effects it had, as long as it worked.

Used it once worked fine then fucked again so poured another bottle in and it didn't work.
Don't use k-seal it left a big pile of the copper shit at the bottom rad hose.
I have used steel seal and its bloody good...get steel seal, expensive but works.
