Any ideas as how to remove over spray on the windscreen of a car, I was going to use some Autoglym stuff and then give it a good old rub, but what about the black bits just above the bumper?

Would some Wax and a Clay Bar work with enough Elbow grease?

Thanks All for the help

Black bits above the bumper? the arches? I've always used a solvent cleaner on glass for overspray

Erm don't really know what we use at work it's just ina skwirty bottle . Any water based solvent / thinners will get it off, just make sure you wash it back off afterwards . Out of curiosity what was sprayed?

So even thinners on the scuttle panel/window wipers and arms etc and the strip bit near the grill will get the paint off? Or does the thinner just work on the windscreen?

It was halfords spray paint stuff, and so thinners will work on the windscreen?

thanks.

Anyone else know what will work on the scuttle panel etc if thinners do not work?

Would T Cut work on the scuttle panel etc or not?

Thanks.

Only use thinners on the glass, get yourself some panel wipe degreaser (stuff used before painting)
On paint work you can use t-cut or G3 compound

So Corsa-Torque, thinners on the glass and it will remove it? Panel Wipe Degrease for the black bumper bits and then T-cut on any overspray on panels?

What about rubber seals, I imagine that can have degreaser on also?

Where can I get all of this stuff from?, Halfords?

You'll get the panel wipe from paint suppliers, have a look on auto-paint.co.uk
That will take the paint off rubbers it will work on glass aswell

Use a razor blade flat against the windscreen, it will come off no problem.

T-Cut should remove it from any paintwork with a bit elbow grease.

You'll probably discolour your scuttle panel using strong solvents on them tbh.

A clay bar will probably work better at removing it off the paintwork Krim.

A bit of back to black would restore the colour in the scuttle panel wouldn't it?

Stanley blade and a bit soapy water does the trick on glass.

Sean, that would do the windows and rubbers surely, if I did it on the paint it would make it all patchy wouldn't it?
