Looking at going away with the girlfriend for a weekend and we are thinking of going to Liverpool as neither of us have been.

Wondered if anyone could tell me what its like?

Any recommendations on where to stay? what to see? Good shops? night life?

Worth going or best to look somewhere else

Do it, plenty of decent hotels and restaurants around L1/Albert Dock now.

Loads to see and do, night life is really good. Have a little read about on the internet, depends what you are after doing.

Been down for the Grand National the last couple of years and it never disappoints, definitely one of my favourite cities in the UK

I love Liverpool. Every time I have been I've had an amazing time. Though I can't recommend what to do with a gf up there as always gone with mates.
