I'm probably looking for something that doesnt exist!

In my car I've got a extra bit of trim (at about 45 degrees) for mounting a phone cradle and under neath on the dash there is a 12v socket and an audio input so I'm trying to find a charger cradle that can mount onto a flat surface that has a build in charging socket and if possible an audio out.

Does anything like this exist for an iphone? I've been browsing eBay and I've not found anything close

Buy them separate from eBay; cradle, 12v charger and 3.5mm audio cable?

Check out Brodit. They make quality phone holders and you buy them in two parts.

1) Specific to your Car

2) Specific to your phone

They both connect together so you get a good factory looking setup. If your car has an obvious area for a phone already, it's highly likely that there's a Brodit mount for it

Here's a picture of the one I've got in my Civic, there are about four different mounts for my particular car which utilise different surfaces/vents/etc.

Edit: mine is a passive mount, but you can get one with plugs built in too.

Nope, Brodit is a good shout, then make you're own dock > 3,5mm jack cable?

I put a ninja-edit in as Brodit do active mounts aswell as the passive one which I've got.

The standard apple desktop dock has audio out

Just mount that somehow, takes charging lead and 3.5 out.

Or take the components out and put into a cradle of your choice.

Judging by the quality of that photo I'd be upgrading to a decent phone that doesn't need fancy 'docks'

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
