Snagging possibly....snags are usually prior to handover to (whoever) takes the property on

NHBC would probably be interim defects in the warranty period

I've never ever heard the term snagging used in any form outside of the construction industry

The closest I can see in your instance is re-work but im sure you know that

We use snagging on aircraft. Once it's complete and ready for handover, the customer (RAF) will inspect it and snag things they think are wrong. We'll then fix them before it gets signed off.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

same in Marine, Pre-acceptance Inspection generates customer snag list; builder's trials/QA generates additional snags. All are rectified/agreed before final Acceptance
