hello
im not to sure if this is the right section
but basicly i run a tv monitor off my laptop to have 2 screens , both screens display the same background , does anyone know of a way to change the backgrouund to a differnt one on the television screen
or how to strech the background over both ?

On my Samsung Lappy it has HDMI out and one of the function keys lets you choose between display settings.
I.e just output on TV, output on both, dual screen etc.
Does your one have anything like that?

Think he knows how to do that already Fro, he's asking about backgrounds.
Not sure you can have different on both, not on XP anyway, although you can stretch it, but that'd look crap surely?

Make abackground double wide and run that as it'll spread across both screens.
Works on 7 anyway

okk thanks , how do i spread it across tho ? , at the moment its jst showing the same background on both screens altho , it will show different windows

Usually in the display settings there is a tick box that says something like "Extend this monitor for the desktop" or something and then that creates a new blank desktop.

theres a programme that ive got on mine called NVIDIA.
basically you can setup one background that spreads across above.
