From my calculation Corsasport must of made between £1500-£2000 from Premium Memberships?? What cost that much money bearing in mind the site had no income for the first 4 years or whatever?? I know im being lazy and should read up on it but im busy

nah not at all, just thought Andy Stocker was the 100th member so thats £1250 and theres been more members since that. I just can't believe how much it costs to run a website these days and was just wondering if the members know what the money goes towards cause i don't understand website stuff

We have extremely high bandwidth usage and although I work for the company that host it, we have some monthly costs still to cover admin, etc... Also, we need to pic up another server at some point as the site gets more popular. This will probably be at the beginning of summer.
Also it's nice for the club to have a kitty which enables us to maybe provide corsasport.co.uk show plates, banners or to help put deposits on hiring things, etc, etc...
None of the money goes into our pockets for the simple reason that sorting out tax etc would be nightmare (so it's just easier to run it as a non-profit club).

Yeah thats fair enough I wasn't questioning it or anything. Just wondering what the benefits are. Because people who aren't premium members get critised all the time for not helping the site blah blah blah. But personally I won't spend money unless I know what its being used for, from the lack of responce a lot of people on here must be different
I was just thinking maybe corsasport could pay for club membership to VPCC or whatever it is so that the members could have lots of benefits (other then the extra features on cs)!!

Donna, phone any ISP and tell them you want a dedicated server for doing fancy stuff with databases, email and image processing and you want to pass 30 gig of bandwidth per month. They'll very quickly get rid of 2 grand for you hehehe.

PM status buys you rights also. Any premium member would have the right to show a car on any corsasport stand then and any non premium member could not complain.
