Just after some advice guys, I eat healthy, train 3 times a week but just after some advice ref suppliments in the form of protein shakes. Not after size & strength, just lean type muscle build.
Can anybody recommend anything? Something that ideally tastes nice and has proven gains........
Cheers in advance

As JonnyJ said, MyProtein is cheap and cheerful.
I use Impact whey protein, seems to do the trick. Anything with a relatively high protein % will be good.

Can't beat nutrisport 90+ for value, not the best tasting but you get used to it

myprotein stuff is just as good as more expensive stuff in most cases, dont be fooled into paying shed loads more because someone said so.
protein powder is protein powder at the end of the day.

About to purchase some of the myprotein stuff... one friend said he has one every morning plus before and after every workout - is that right?
also, i know its called a shake, but how do you actually make it? does it need blending or just adding to water/milk or whatever it goes with??

I use it twice, one before workout and one after. You just pop 2 scoops in a shaker, add water/milk, shake it up and drink.

I bought some choc smooth from my protein and it tastes amazing. only been on protein for about a week and a half and already recognised a difference.
I have been training for about 8 months before. With my protein I do one scoop before workout then double scoop when I get home, usually within 20 minutes of finishing!

Why don't you take it with you, straight after workout then when you're home have a nice meal to eat?

Protein and Creatine is all you really need (Pre workout if your into that type of thing)...Maybe multi vits(restricted diet)? Wasted money unless your a Jay cutler look a like and train 5 hours of everyday and have a really strict diet to keep your 5% Body fat.
People like to pop supps and ope it makes it easy, it shouldn't be easy.

i dont eat any fish at all so have been recommended to take fish oil way before i started training and the multivits seem like a good idea training or not Diet isnt too bad these days but still a little restricted

Interesting thread this
I've just joined the gym due to my job activity being limited. I've been doing a mix of cardio and training and been looking at this:
http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/hurricane_evo
Anyone recommend it? Seems to be balanced for what I need in general fitness and size/tone.

That hurricane evo stuff has quite a low protein %. Per 60g scoop, 30g protein, 14g carbs.
be better off with a high protein % whey and buying creatine. Be cheaper.
And all that other shit like, HMB and amino acids and stuff are a load of shit, don't need them. As for the carbs, just eat clean and if you want some healthy energy before the gym, eat a banana!
