That will take a L&R feed (audio plugs) and record that onto a USB memory stick in MP3 format say? Without a use of a computer?

No I need to plug a Microphone > Mixer > USB Recorder of some description. Thought there might be some kind of rack mount device that would do this

Record what comes in on the L&R feed in an MP3 format to a USB stick. I'd quite like it to be rack mounted as well

USB Capture card, get one of ebay for 15quid, also use it for video but at that price it will be crap.

edit: Didnt see the rack mounted bit, well its an alternative
