basically i brought a mot failed corsa with 2.0 8v lump fitted luckily for me its only failed on breaks and break hoses and the exhaust having no cat but heres the problem i need some advice on what to do next obviously the engine will not be getting taken out but how can i overcome this as im going to need a standard ish exhaust to get it through or does anyone know friendly mot testers lol

You don't need to remove the engine to fit a cat anyway.

but i have a straight through custom pipe so i cant just bolt a pipe in

Dnt get where your geting info for but you just need a cat cut abit of pipe out and weld cat in job done

i know but then needs car cut out and put back in im in liverpool at the mine

its not hard to do any custom exh place should do it cut out pipe fit a cat in place with clamps not welded then its only a less than 20min job to rrmove i make these alot

ill find out just such a pain got quoted £160 in parts and labour just to replace cv gaitor, handbrake cable and a brake hose ! car was cheap so im not fussed i was expecting a lot worse

Like corsa_sean said just cut a section out, get a cat and have it flanged at both ends, change it whenever you want then. Piss easy job.

sorted its going to have universal cat with flanges put on and im going to get the old pipe flanged so after mot decat stright back on
