This was posted on another forum but thought it may interest some people on here you need a helmet for track day runs.

Aldi are selling motorbike helmets for £30

can get proper omp ones for 50...still a helmets a helmet i guess

When I did my CBT I was shown the difference between a cheap helmet and a good one

True Gary, but if you only do track days on the odd occasion in your road going car then I think it would fit the bill.

I was meaning that because the Arai is expensive everyone would think it to be good, when infact your Aldi special is better

He only has one mouth.


People seem to have the same stupid idea, pay more and you get a safer helmet.
Would be crap on a bike, would be cold and noisy but for a track day in a car I think that Aldi helmet will be good enough.
