I meant this:
Vauxhall 1.4 16v 4/1389 90 112 12 45.6
1.4 16v Sri 4/1389 90 113 10.5 39.2
1.5 seconds off the 0-60 time for the SRI with no extra cc/bhp.

the non SRI is probably been ECU restricted by vauxhall to stop the 2 engnes performing the same? If not maybe the SRI has a closer ratio gearbox.

It'll probably be the gearbox or ECU is slightly different in say the 1.4 SRi and the 1.4 Comfort/Elegance/etc.
If you notice the MPG is lower on the SRi as well. Which correlates with a higher 0-60 time.
