XE engines came in Calibra's, Cav's and Astra's.

You do realise it had work on it to give it the extra 50cc, right?

yer im going to find the xe lump then have some work done to it while the current engine is still running seen a few on ebay now just waiting for right one to come up

I would rather buy a good xe and then tb it with a good set of cams then should be fun

The engine I had built up had:

Rebored block
Oversized heopolite pistons
Lightened and balanced bottom end
Arp rod bolts
And 264 cams which came out before I sold the car
Lightened flywheel and Valeo organic clutch

I got some pics of the rebuild I can send you next week when I am free

get one with pics/paperwork to show the work done.

They all seem to have been 'rebuilt' and had only covered approx 80k miles on ebay

I was given an engine that was apparently a 2.1, the boy that gave me it thought as much for about 10yrs. I took the head off it and it had standard pistons though, try to get hold of a boroscope to check
