Just had fast road cams fitted to my corsa B SRi (and chuffed with the difference they make!) but when in traffic, the fan comes on a LOT sooner than it used to. I expected it would make a bit of difference, but is this normal?

Aren't you supposed to get it chipped when you fit performance cam(s)? I would have thought idle would be all over the place without a decent chip?

So what would be a good cam to use for the C14SE? I was gonna get a Kent cam but I thought you had to get a chip first so I didn't bother in the end!
