whats the best way? i kno a lot of people use that gunk stuff but can i pressure wash the majority of the crap off first?

Best way is to apply gunk with a paintbrush and pressure was it off, I did that on my astra and it came up really well.

scotch pad and some wd40 works good for a lot of bits in the bay

haha i would drive it thru the car wash if the engine was in the car its the block itself im cleaning, wheres the best place to get that gunk stuff?

Halfords sell it, whether that's the cheapest or not I don't know tho! Motor factors will sell stuff like it too.

I wouldn't use a pressure washer on an engine. Too many problems emerge afterwards. Gunk and low pressure hose works - or I know guys use Mr Muscle oven cleaner and rinse it off.
