Bit of an impulse purchase this morning has landed me with a 2008/08 Clio 197.
Only downside is that the wheels are kerbed to fuck and the tread depths are pretty low.
I haven't had to purchase my own tyres for a few years, so out of the loop on whats good/bad/indifferent.
Car may see the track ocassionally, so would need to bear this in mind.
215/45/r17 W
Anyone got any reccomendations?

Continental SportContact's are OE on them, good tyres.
Driven a few 197's and ran Contis on my Golf

Currently on Conti Sport Contacts which are ok, and have some experience on my old 197 Cup back in 2008, but cannot cast my mind back that far to have an opinion on them.

I stand by sport contacts. Extremely good tyres
Michelins are shite in comparison.

I'd only put either Exaltos on a 182 or Conti's on the 197.
Brilliant tyres is all conditions and wear us minimal.

I have the Pirelli P Zeros on mine at the moment and there superb, the vredestein tyres are great as well but both are bloody expensive. My next ones will be falken 512s, one of the best tyres out there for the money IMO.

Had contis on my m3. Never had a problem
Switched to Michelin pilot and had lack of grip in the dry and terrible in the wet.
Got contis on the Porsche and again no issues
