i have just recently bought a 1.0 corsa. i have heard that the 1.2 1.6v uses the same loom. would this be correct? and if so is it an easy enough conversion? i am not looking for mad performance gains. all i want is a bit more power than what it has.

I dont think the power difference between the 2 is that noticeable. I had the 1.0, and my mate had the 1.2 and on acceleration there wasn't much between the 2.

IMO, i wouldn't bother

In Northern Ireland an engine conversion of any type will be very hard to insure. It sucks but is true....sadly

They must cost the same. Sell up and buy a 1.2 if that's what you want.

reason i dont is because this is a well specced corsa in the colour i wanted and one of the cleanest iv seen, with service history etc. so getting a 1.2 in that order will be extremely hard so it wouldnt make sense to sell and then end up with a dog.
