Boss has offered to lend me his car while on holiday for 10 days but obviously wants it insuring properly rather than using the drive other vehicles part of my policy.

Tried a few temp cover sites and they don't like the car for some reason.

I'm 30 with a clean license and good occupation.

Any ideas anyone?

You cant actually insure a car thats already isured as it will come up on the MID database when you take out the cover.

As David says just get him to add you temporarily to his policy.

If anything happens though he will have to claim on his insurance and think he wants to avoid that!

Some policies allow named drivers to get their own NCB, so any accidents or claims you make would only be in your name and not affect his insurance.

That's put an end to that. My insurance won't cover it as its already insured. Can't start a new policy as its already insured and my no claims are on my car anyway.

Gutted is not the word!

Can't you do dayinsure? I insured a vehicle twice using that so I was fully comp rather than 3rd party. Not sure now if that was legit or not after what's been said tho.

Yes, the car isn't worth that so ticked the box and it still doesn't like it. Even if I don't fill personal details in it just says that car can't be covered.
