I've just read through Ben J's here on CS, does anybody know of any other Lotus 7 type kitcar build threads for some light evening reading?
I'm developing a proper project car itch that needs scratching, something I can learn on and not worry about it because it's a daily driver - some how I'm coming to the conclusion that building my own car is a good place to get started

There's some in the "Kit Cars" and "Caterham" sections of Pistonheads.

Go to a kit car show and have a look around. I know it won't do much for tonights urge so have a look at these sites;
www.locostbuilders.co.uk
www.ultimasports.co.uk
pistonheads kitcar section etc.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Well, thanks to PistonHeads my evening was completely eaten by this:

Amazing build, a fair bit of minor fabrication which is scaring me a little bit... I'd been hoping for a bit more of an Ikea scenario but he didn't use one of the "standard" engine options so I guess he made it a little more difficult for himself!
