Just bought a P reg corsa sport 1.4.. Ran completely fine and today when a started the car it seemed weird.. When a looked at the rev counter the rev's were dropping to just below one k and then shooting straight back upto just below 2k when a drove off even with the clutch it in and out ut would sit at 2k :/ anyone got any idea what this could be ?

Does it sort it's self out after a while or does it continue like that all the time ?

It does it now and then mate like all start the car and it won't do it then the next time a start it it does if ya get is

more than likelt ICV, very very doubtful its fuel lines.

mine does that, sometimes it will run ok other times it stayed revved up to 2k when the clutch is pressed, i just turn it off at traffic light for a few seconds and restart it, usually sorts it out

Yeah might just start switching it off at the traffic lights lol seems to run okay when hot though :L

not really mate, its easy well on mine anyway (i have the 8v 1.4) just 2 screws and out it comes, think they are about 15 quid on ebay

Oh right well all just live with it for the minute and sort it out when a get paid or it may fix itself :L

More than likely icv fault but id check you dont have an air leak first before replacing it
