Hey guys, my Corsa B has died after 4 years () so now looking at purchasing a Corsa C. Anything I should be looking for when I go to have a look at some? Usual problems/faults etc.

Thinking of having a look here and here.

Budget is around 1500 but I can stretch it a little. Cheers!

Mayonaise like substance under the oil cap/rocker cover . Check the carpet all the way threw the car to see if its wet , especially front footwells as very prone to leaks .

Sloppy gear linkage is a common fault. Very easily fixed though.

The split pin on mine come out. One m6 nut + bolt later - sorted

But yer as said, linkage, power steering rack (mine would go 'notchy'), and tappy cam chain.

Timing chain noise, not really a problem but it doesn't sound nice.

Gear linkage.

Check the EPAS isn't easier to turn one way than the other and that it doesn't pull - very expensive job if it needs replacing

Suspension springs are prone to snapping too

I think your referring to the steering Column, and it's not a dashboard out job on a Corsa c. It's actually very easy to change on a Corsa c
