ok whats everyone's opinions on this?

I read a post the other day about square's car and people suggesting he should get 15's...

I've always thought that if you put 15's on a bodykitted car it'll look stupid / get wrecked over the first speed bump...

I've got 15's on my car, 40mm drop... unkitted so far...

however, I've had some sideskirts in my garage for ages waiting to go on - I haven't put em on coz I'm worried it'll look stupid / get wrecked... I also wanna get a euro rear and a Merseyspeed front or that supernova front Square was showing...

if I put all that on will it look silly with tiny wheels?

I'd like 17's, but not only is it going to cost a bit to buy some 17's it'll also reduce my performance and since its slow already, I don't want it any slower!

If I did get 17's, I'd need more performance but a engine conversion will cost me too much ££££ now for both doing it and insurane...

so I'm at a catch 22... I can't do any body work until I get 17's, I can't get 17's till I get more power, I can't get more power till I'm a millionaire...

What is your opinion?

Thanks.

A guy in my street has a Full Combat 1 kit on his Corsa with 15's dropped 60mm. This thing is so low and looks a total nightmare to drive! But it does look well cool just hovering along the road.

Next time I'm speaking to him I'll see if I can get a few pics of it.

I must say I am a big fan of the euro look. I love seeing a small car on 15's or even 14's lower than a snakes balls. I believe that unless you have a decent amount of power there is no point in going past 16" wheels.

If you ask my opinion id smooth it drop it Reiger or similar front and back with no skirts.

I don't understand how you can get a combat kit on when down 60mm on 15's?

This is a pic of mine and its low as it is with standard bumpers.

well yes and no...

ok, its no match for any fast cars now and wouldn't be after putting 17's on... but most of my mates 17-19 years old all have cars putting out like 55->90 bhp because of insurance...

this is where that little difference could make a big difference.

At the moment my car can beat most of my mates, and the ones which are slightly faster it can keep up with quite well...

in that sense 'my car is fast' - these are the people who will go 'excuses excuses' when I say "it's because I've got 17's you beat me..."

Its quite nippy for what it is now and the people off this site I've driven with can vouch for that, I just don't wanna ruin it all by slapping some 17"'s on and being the slowest car around.

Yeah exactly, front and sides are very very low!! I'll definitely get a pic of it next time I see him.
