its actually a 2.6 litre its jsut that the rotary engine only uses 1.3 litres of fuel at one time

That engine is bloody crazy. Its just one bit triangle thing spinning in the middle of the combustion part. It mixes the fuel faster and gets quite a powerful explosion out of it too. Engines really are my weat point. I have no idea about them really.

no its not. Its a 1.3 litre rotary type engine. Each rotor producing 650cc. It works very differently from a normal petrol engine. Great fun to drive, but you are in trouble if you need engine parts or the rotor tips have evaporated. Torque figures are rubbish, but revved hard you will fly for sure, just like the honda VTEC engines.

the racing Mazdas from years gone by, have 4x650cc setup and produce an easily obtained 700bhp+.
