hey all. need some advice. I have just bought a corsa b sxi with the x12xe engine.
the car cuts out whilst driving it is fairly random some times it will drive for 20mins sometimes just a few mins. it then wont start just cranks over, it can take up to 20 mins before it will start again. When running it seems to run well. it also does not seem to matter if it is hot or cold.
ive read a few things on here so at the mo the EGR valve is currently soaking in petrol to clean up and free up? if it s stuck.
ive also heard about coil packs and read on here to test with a multi meter between high and low etc. However i dont know which terminals are high or low lol, they are just numbered 1-6 on the plug.
is there any other problems that could cause this. im going to buy a new Crank sensor now also then i know that is fine.
any help much appreciated

Maybe the crank sensor, does it light the eml on?

hey mate, erm yes i think it does, is that in the the middle ish of the rev counter? if so yes lol. well ive ordered a new sensor today so hopefuly itll be that

If it doesn't do any good then go to a garage and get it hooked upto the diagnostic machine and see what code it spits out  .

hey just had a check it was the eps light that came on when it died lol.
will have to see what happens
