I've recently had the timing chain changed on the corsa. In the last few days it's developed a knocking noise when cold. The noise only occurs when pulling away in 1st gear. If I let it idle for 5mins first, then drive, there is no noise. Everything was changed while doing the timing chain(tensioner, waterpump etc)
I have a suspicion that it could be the alternator tensioner causing the noise. The belt was replaced in October.
Any ideas, advice appreciated!

Is it like a deep knocking or more of a tap?

Oil level is fine. I'd say it's more a knock than a tapping noise. It's not horrendously loud.
