Anyone use them? Quite cheap, thinking of getting them as road tyres as to replace the s drives.

Federals are terrible tyres Nic.
Sidewalls crack all the time.

I've had a few sets of them, never had a problem and actually performed quite well. Tread pattern looks good too!

I'm not sure they'd be massively good though. Other option was yoko ad08

Are you talking about the Federal 595 RSR track tyres? Very good tyres. A few M3's, Caterhams running them at Donington yesterday, and I know a couple of people who run them and rate them. Yoko AD08's are also awesome

Ran the federal on my Punto for a while. I thought they were okay until the road got slightly cold or damp. Then they were rubbish. Currently use Khumo tyres. Can be bought from camskill.co.uk for the smae price as federals. I no, would not use Federal

Getting them and price isn't the problem it's what to get. I can get them cheaper than cams kill anyway.

I think people are getting confused with Federals normal range & there track tyres. The 595 RSR's are awesome. I hope you mean Kumhos track tyre too as all other Kumhos are ditch finders.
Nic is that a discount you can give CS members?

i need to price the yoko ad08's up again i think they were around £60ea. federal seem to be similar money really. them hankooks are a proper road tyre, and tbh the yoko s drives it has now are very good really. just i don't want 195 45 15's as i don't think its as good to drive as it was on 195 50 15's
sadly no graham. only get decent prices on stuff for our own cars normally.

That's so insanely cheap. Yoko AD08's for the rear of mine are £350 each. Joys of small wheels I suppose!
Shame :-(

Have you looked at Toyo R1-r's? I had them on my old Corsa in that size. I found them pretty good. At the time it was a toss up between the 595's. But I went for the Toyo's.

T1-R's or 595 RSR's? Mid range road tyres vs track tyres? Strange tyres to compare

Nothing to do with the thread but not all Kumho's are crap, the KU31's are an excellent performance road tyre
