How do I go about it guys? Is the reminder needed at the post office or can it be done online?

you can go to the post office and fill out a form and get it there an then

still taking the documents aswell

can do it online with the reg number and the v5 number

just pop down to the post office mate, they will sort you out

Just take your v5, MOT certificate and insurance certificate to the post office and ask for a tax disc. I did it at the start of feb with my car and have done since I started driving. Never been a problem
