simply a little bulb thats helps find the key hole at night.
i dont use it now because of remote locking

Both mine had the light. Neither ever worked and didn't see the point in replacing the battery really. A cavalier I had worked and it wasnt bright enough to warrant being there really.

i bought a new lockset from vauxhall and the torch was more money on top to get it lol
