Serviced the corsa during the week and when changing the plugs 3 were fine a nice golden brown colour on the tips but one was a sutted black colour.
Had a quick look in the haynes manual and it says in there it could be running rich.
Is this correct?

If plugs are black then it's running rich ths is correct

put new plugs in buddy try fuel filter nd injector cleaner

if it is just one plug then injector cud be playing up abit buddy dot he cheapest bits firts then see if any better

Really
Just gave the car a full service last week,il check it again in a week or 2 when it been used a bit.
