Well I just returned from a 3 day (2 night) trip in Marrakech.
The place was outstanding! I really enjoyed it!
I looked at Ricardodaforce's fantastic set on Flickr before I went for inspiration (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ricardodaforce/sets/72157626429421166/with/5591065227/)
Sadly I was not able to match the beauty of some of his shots. I found that taking photographs within the souks was a tiresome job as we were constantly harassed for money as soon as I had the camera in my hand. I guess that it isn't really tourist season yet so we were picked on a little bit more than normal
This was my first proper outting with the Fuji X10 and I was pleasantly surprised! I have done nothing to the photos and I am really pleased with the results.
Here are a couple of the photos:

Carved graffiti on a bamboo plant in Jardin Majorelle

Vibrant clothes stand

A very 'busy' photo which reflects the atmosphere
This is possibly my favourite shot of the trip. It was a complete fluke as I just fired from the hip as I was told no photos were allowed!

Dying silk for weaving
And of course a trip out towards the Atlas mountains gives some stunning views!

I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get some of the shots that others have been able to achieve but given the equipment and circumstances (photos were taken very quickly to avoid paying!) I got a few decent shots.
If you are interested in seeing the rest of them they are here:

And if you are interested in knowing everything I did then ask and I can bore you with the stories of my adventure

They think they deserve to be paid just for existing in a space that you happen to be taking a picture of. Started to annoy me a lot!
