I put a couple of pics in another thread recently, but it kind of deserves its own thread and might interest a few.
I've been helping a mate get this done for his missus, iirc its a 1973 model.
Still a couple of jobs to do like fit the gates and the timber deck. I fitted the sound system last week with compeltely hidden speakers and amps; sounds good as well which I wasn't expecting as the speakers are built into units under the seats as she didn't want to see them or have holes in door cards etc.
Colour choice is a bit meh, but they're her business colours so it all matches in.
How it arrived

original paint under the roller finished green

stripped

ready for priming

Primed

Painted

and only shot of the interior I have

don't get me started on lights; fucking electrical nightmare that thing. Got everything working on Wednesday night, all rewired and came back to Saturday with no dipped beam working

Likely I'll just start again with the wiring, CBA with the hassle of a 40 year old wiring loom

lost a hub cap on the test drive, but the paint has now been flatted and polished up. Gates are painted and ready to go on, grill has been repainted and put on. Still lots to do but its been a fun project.

Looks alright that, not my personal taste but you can tell the amount of work that's gone into it!
Would of looked better with the early bumpers though.
Pow, any pics of yours??

She runs a vintage furniture/clothing/jewellery shop so it will kind of go hand in hand with that; especially at shows she'll be demoing at. But I'm the same, I wouldn't own one personally. Maybe a splitty camper but that would be at a push
