Very strange. Don't quite get it myself. Have any other football teams every advertised at other sporting events?

super formula had cars as football teams in its first year running had alot off different teams aswell, liverpool,spurs,rangers etc not sure how its doing now mind you

Was a while ago, 90s from what i remember, but didn't Newcastle United sponsor something in Le Mans?

Still, this is a bit surprising although i guess it's no different to any other company sponsoring.

I cant imagine for the life of me the club crest will be plastered over the car like that. I'd imagine it will be a bit subtle, perhaps a few small logo's dotted around the car.
