I personally hate the gearboxes, in all forms they seem slow to react and some what slack.
Manual ones have horrible sloppy shifts.
Semi auto and auto ones have a noticeable delay in changes.
They are quite slow as well, it's like a saxo but newer and heavier.
Petrol engines are a bit lazy.
I found them expensive to insure as well for some reason..
My megane is 120bhp and 300mn torque and it was about £100 cheaper to insure then a C2 which has 75bhp and 118nm torque.
So I would really advise you to try it out, even for £900.

the car its self is great the 1.6 16v vtr is slower then the vts or gt, the vts is only available in sensodrive, so you have paddles, tiptronic and fully auto, the main issues are the sensodrive box, there prone to lock in 4th or reverse, if its been looked after and had all the dealer software upgrades then it should, the paddle shift is fun i took one out last week for a play and it was fiddly and annoying but i actually enjoyed driving it, in full auto 1st gears about 10mins long before 2nd batters its way in its not bentley gearbox but used right the wee car was flying, there great cars to be fair girlfriend had a c2 from 2004 till last year and other then the usual wear and tear it was great

O have been looking at C2 GT's this week.
The VTR does 0-60 in just over 10 seconds and over 120mph. Not bad really.

I would have 1 tbh, but i wouldn't touch a Vtr no matter how cheap it was. Unless it was to sell on to make a profit. Gearbox puts me right off.

yip, the restof the cars pretty good, id check the top half of the tailgate for blisters of rust on the seams as the spoilers can cause water to get in and collect, cheack all the electrics work, wipers lights the lot as they run a body control module that controls most things, check the wiring going to the headlight bulbs as the bulbs are h4 and the wires dont take kind to more powerful bulbs
thats all i can think off lol
