Any point? Its a road car and any weight loss from just the dash will be minimal.

Tbh if its a road car and you are putting the whole dash back in, it would be more hassle than its worth removing wee things, just because the dash is out. Dosn't look like there is much that can be removed anyway without doing away with things that come in handy when on the way to work, like heaters etc.

As Ian said soundproofing up the bulkhead. That foam matting totalled about 7kg iirc.

Fit a nice light set of wheels, it will be much more advantageous than removing your interior.

lately iv been getting bored of the 1600 sport but yesterday morning i drove to work without any seats other than the drivers one... it was great... so much lighter haha

and ne bother sean, just u2u me if you get stuck with whats to remove/change...

i also got the smaller screenwash bottle that sits up the top, purely for tidiness though. cant see that saving much weight tbh

but aye, that a/c box has a bit of weight in it. sure alex will vouch for that

i get the foam padding stuff out that goes right up the foot wells, air con and pipes removed, that black box removed. that foam stuff goes all the way over to the gear stick.
it all adds up.

I always thought MOs were heavy

I wouldnt bother removing the dash or cutting it up. I would go for a drive with it as it is now for a bit to see how you like it. It's always a good compramise to keep the dash and carpet in imo.

Got no carpet, plastic trim or sound deadening in the back. A/C is coming out and other little bits in front I can save weight on. Dash is staying whole though.. As for comps I'm sure they are lite
