Will these fit in the door okay with an adapter ring without any mucking about with a door build?????
I just want em to go straight in easy, but i have heard that the magnet is soo big they dont fit in very well and can hit the window etc...????

if the magnets is 2 big it will hit the window yes...im sure some1 on ere will b able 2 tell u exact size thats will fit in...or touch window tho

My infinity 6.5" components (655CS) hit the passenger window when its down and someone slams the door.

dont the adaptors bring the speaker out far enough to fix the problem?

Alpine type R's are to big to go in... U'll need door builds.

not always, some are just too deep. Kenwood Dual mag speakers (like the ones in Donna's corsa) are very shallow and lightweight, hence they came as standard in the McClaren F1

they are too big, they hit the windows and they hit the door bins, you need door builds

bugger i do want them but not the hassle of door builds. Do the infinity reference components fit???

i have some 6.5 inch kenwoods which have small magnets and they still hit the door bins
had to make up spacers

i was thinkin of Alpine SXS-1757's, 63mm mounting depth??

I had infinity kappas( cnat remember model number - about£160 ish I think) and they wouldn't fit, had to take them back.
same problem, they hit the window winding mechanism, and were to big to actually go through the o/e hole in the door neway
