i've posted about this on here before but not about the hosepipe ban problem.

basically, i pay Anglian water each month via direct debit, but i also get a bill through from Essex and Suffolk water from time to time.

just got the bill through from E&S and it says they've read my meter andi used 55 cubic metres of water.

anglian water currently has a hosepipe ban.
e&s water don't.

would i be right in saying that i can use my hosepipe? and that i pay anglian water for my drainage/sewerage?

it's all a bit confusing, not sure why i have 2 different companies dealing with my water in the first place.

you could be paying twice for nothing.

I know when we moved house we were paying a water company that didn't even supply/waste in the area!

So id ring up and confirm what it is they do. unless it states on your bill but it seems odd they are from 2 different companies

If its same here in norfolk, you have E&S supplying water, and anglian water taking the waste.

So your not effected by the ban.

Just spoke with my dad and he's also with 2 companies, as is my grandad.

Going to wash my car and water the garden and hope tue neighbours go mental, so I can put them in their place

update: just got a bill through from anglian water saying i owe them £38.65 on top on my DD payments.

only it doesn't say i should pay this by a certain time, so can i assume they just take it out of my DD payments (which they've increased to £25 a month)?
