Andriod?
I use Torque on my HTC (it's like £2.99) and a bluetooth ODB adapter, it's brilliant, live readings from sensors and clear codes.

Tbf, i think i would rather read fault codes on a laptop rather than a tiny mobile phone.
Bit too much pissing about trying to read the small screen etc.

I dont have a laptop just a pc so I'd be borrowing my girlfriends and it would be a lot more hassle than just doing it on my phone

op-com is good, used it before.
But torque is really good, I use it all the time I have a bluetooth connector, it's so handy to have it all the time.

You sure you've got it all setup right?
Plug adapter into car, pair with phone (don't open app), open app and wait for a while, can take a while when you plug it into a new car for the first time.

I could pair and connect to the device and see it in torque, I got all ticks in the status but except for one, 'not connected to vehicle ecu'

This on an 8v engine? If so it's because it's OBDI. Will only work on OBDII engines.

Yep it is, it'll work on 16v and 12v Corsa's. Just not older engines. For the record, Op-Com is rubbish and wouldn't work either. OpelScanner will work with older engines but is very expensive for a genuine unit and copies rarely come up on eBay.
